TANGO FEVER STUDIO

was fist founded by Hernan Gomez and Maki Fujita in Brooklyn, New York / U.S.A. in 2002. Since then their activities have included teaching Argentine Tango classes, performing Tango and hosting Milonga in and around the New York area.
In January 2004, they moved to Kumamoto / Japan, Fujita's home town.
In June 2004, they opened the current Tango Fever Studio at Kitasendanbata-cho (Fujisaki-gu) in Kumamoto City.
At Tango Fever Studio, they offer many different classes for both beginners and professionals for ages children through seniors.

Tango Fever Company
was founded by Hernan Gomez in Buenos Aires /Argentina in 2007. He directed the young talented dancers and co-created the Tango show with the Monte Grande resident choreographer Mario Morales. Their first performance is in August 1st, 2007 at the Theatro Roma in Buenos Aires.

About the Certification Program
We also offer programs for people who want to study the Argentine Tango professionally.

Level I
You need to master more than 100 hours of Tango classes.
Tango I
You need to master basic walk, ochito(ocho) , Basic 8 steps and other variations.
Tango II
You need to master Adorn, Voleo, Gancho and other steps.
Tango III
More new steps and more detailed exploration of the music. .Many different variations of steps will be introduced.

After the 100 hours of classes, there will be an exam for the completion of Level I. Not only the dancing will be examined, but there will also be some verbal questions about Tango history and Tango music.

Level II
You need to master more than 150 hours of Tango classes.
You will learn the opposite part (men as women, women as men). This Level II course is a preparation for teachers It includes skills such as how to manage a class, how to demonstrate, how to pick suitable music etc..

After the 150 hours of classes, there will be an exam for completion of Level II. Part of the exam will be an actual teaching of the beginner class.

Level III
You need to master more than 200 hours of Tango classes.
This Level III is for preparing professional Tango dancers. You need to master choreography as well as improvisation. Acting classes are  part of the program at this level.

Level IV
You need to master more than 250 hours of Tango classes.
This Level IV is for preparing professional Tango Dancers as well as Teachers and Choreographers.

Car
If you come by car,  take route 3,san go-sen towards Suidou-cho and our studio is right in front of Fujisaki-gu bus stop. There is a parking area available. Go into Fujisaki-gu sando and turn left at the first street. You will see a 100yen parking area on the right, in front of Yoshida Hospital.

Bus
Take any bus going towards the Bus Terminal (Kotsu Center) and get off at Fujisaki-gu.
